Because there is only a 48 hour window in which to buy the shirt we want as many people to know about it as possible so they don’t miss out on the chance to grab themselves one. I’ve been thinking a lot about how culture works lately. From my understanding, historically, culture has moved forward at the speed of time. Brief reflections called history allowed us to take a look back and process where we’d been. Through all the changes, one thing prevailed, forward movement. The internet changed all that. We are a now at a new zero point, processing practically everything that’s ever happened, all at once. This kind of access to the distant and immediate past is unprecedented.
